Kaya FM coverage: South Africa is getting a new online private school

Teachers’ unions are calling for the immediate closure of schools as South Africa nears the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Their proposal suggests schools reopen at the end of August 2020, unless the situation dictates otherwise. In the meantime, parents and students are concerned about the long-term impact these disruptions will have on academic performance – especially for those intending to apply at top universities.
